1. Gently cleanse your face

Gently cleanse your face twice daily with warm water followed by a gentle cleanser (like CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser), avoiding any harsh soaps or scrubs that could dry out your skin

2. Apply a layer of moisturizer

If you have dry skin, apply a layer of moisturizer after cleansing and before applying kojic acid serum (if you have oily skin skip this step)

3. Apply kojic acid serum

Apply 2-3 drops of kojic acid serum directly onto your face and neck area (or areas where redness is prominent) using the dropper provided or another dropper or syringe that doesn’t contain alcohol or alcohol-based products or fragrances as they will interfere with the efficacy of kojic acid serum.

4. Wait 20 minutes before applying other products

Wait 20 minutes after applying kojic acid before applying any other products to your face, such as moisturizers or sunscreens.

This will allow time for absorption and effectiveness of the kojic acid product you have chosen to use on your skin.

5. Stay consistent

Use kojic acid once per day for three weeks, then twice per week for three weeks, then once per week for maintenance use.

This helps prevent irritation from overuse and allows your skin to adapt to the product’s effects slowly so it can better handle higher doses of kojic acid in the future if you need them for additional benefits such as treating hyperpigmentation or rosacea treatment.
