Tangled hair can be a real pain, but store-bought detanglers can be expensive and filled with harsh chemicals. In this post, we'll show you how to make your own hair detangler using glycerin, a natural ingredient that helps to smooth and soften hair. This DIY recipe is easy to make, and it's a great way to save money while keeping your hair looking its best.

Equipment

  • Small bowl
  • Measuring cup
  • Spoon or spatula
  • Spray bottle

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tablespoons glycerin
  • 1 cup water
  • 2-3 drops of essential oil (optional)

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, mix together the glycerin and water until well combined.
  • If desired, add a few drops of essential oil for fragrance.
  • Pour the mixture into a spray bottle.
  • Shake well before each use.

Notes

  • Store the detangler in a cool, dry place and use within 6 months.
  • If you have very dry or damaged hair, you can use a slightly higher ratio of glycerin to water.
  • If you have oily hair, you can use a slightly lower ratio of glycerin to water.
 

How to Use

 
  1. Spray the detangler on damp hair before combing or brushing.
  2. Use a wide-toothed comb or brush to gently detangle your hair, starting from the ends and working your way up.
  3. Style as desired.
