Glycerin Soap Recipe Without Lye
Glycerin soap is a gentle and moisturizing soap that is perfect for all skin types. Equipment
- Soap molds
- Double boiler
- Thermometer

Ingredients
- 2 cups of glycerin
- 1 cup of distilled water
- ½ cup of coconut oil
- ½ cup of olive oil
- ¼ cup of beeswax
- 10-15 drops of essential oils (optional)
Instructions
- Begin by melting the glycerin, coconut oil, olive oil, and beeswax in a double boiler. Use a thermometer to ensure that the mixture reaches a temperature of 120-130 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Once the mixture has melted, remove it from the heat and add in the distilled water. Stir well to combine.
- If desired, add in 10-15 drops of your preferred essential oils for fragrance.
- Pour the mixture into your soap molds and allow them to cool for 24 hours before removing them from the molds.
- Your homemade glycerin soap is now ready to use!
Notes
- Be sure to use a thermometer to ensure that the mixture does not get too hot, as this can cause the soap to become discolored.
- If the mixture becomes too thick, you can add in a small amount of distilled water to thin it out.
- Be sure to use soap molds that are suitable for hot process soap making.
