Glycerin Nasal Spray Recipe

A dry, stuffy nose can be a nuisance, but with this homemade glycerin nasal spray, you can relieve your symptoms naturally and effectively. This recipe is easy to make and only requires a few simple ingredients.
Small spray bottle
Measuring spoon
Small mixing bowl
- ¼ teaspoon glycerin
- ¼ cup distilled water
- ⅛ teaspoon salt
- 6 drops of essential oil (e.g. eucalyptus, peppermint) for added fragrance and benefits
In a small mixing bowl, combine the glycerin, distilled water, and salt. Stir until the salt is fully dissolved.
If using essential oils, add a few drops to the mixture and stir.
Carefully pour the mixture into the spray bottle.
Shake well before each use.
- This recipe makes a small amount of nasal spray, enough for one person to use for a few days.
- Be sure to use distilled water, as tap water may contain impurities that can harm the delicate mucous membranes in the nose.
- It is important to store the nasal spray in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
How to Use
- Clean the nozzle of the spray bottle with a damp cloth before using.
- Blow your nose to clear any mucus.
- Tilt your head back slightly and insert the nozzle of the spray bottle into one nostril.
- Spray a few times and then repeat on the other nostril.
- Use as needed, up to 3 times a day.
