Kawakawa Balm with Coconut Oil is a great addition to your daily skin care routine. Equipment

  • A small saucepan
  • A heatproof bowl
  • A wooden spoon
  • A small container for storage

Ingredients
  

  • ¼ cup of Kawakawa leaves
  • ¼ cup of Coconut Oil
  • ¼ cup of Beeswax

Instructions
 

  • Heat the Kawakawa leaves and Coconut Oil in a small saucepan over medium heat until the leaves are fragrant and the oil is infused, about 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and strain the leaves from the oil using a heatproof bowl.
  • Add the Beeswax to the infused oil and stir until it has melted completely.
  • Pour the mixture into a container and let it cool for 30 minutes.
  • Once it has cooled, the balm will be solid and ready to use.

Notes

  • If the balm is too soft, add more Beeswax. If it's too hard, add more Coconut Oil.
  • The balm will keep for up to 6 months if stored in a cool, dark place.
  • You can add essential oils like lavender or peppermint for added benefits and scent.
 

How to Use

 
  1. Apply a small amount of the balm to your skin as needed.
  2. Massage the balm into your skin until it is fully absorbed.
  3. Use daily for best results.
