This Breast Milk Lotion Recipe is an easy and affordable way to keep your skin healthy and hydrated. Using just a few simple ingredients such as coconut oil, beeswax, and, of course, breast milk, this DIY lotion can be made in minutes. Not only does it have moisturizing properties, but it's also a great way to use up any extra breast milk you may have on hand.

Equipment

  • Small saucepan
  • Wooden spoon
  • Measuring cup

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup breast milk
  • ¼ cup coconut oil
  • ¼ cup shea butter
  • ¼ cup beeswax
  • 5 drops tea tree oil
  • 5 drops lavender oil (optional)

Instructions
 

  • In a small saucepan, heat the breast milk, coconut oil, shea butter, and beeswax over low heat until all ingredients have melted.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the tea tree oil and lavender oil (if desired).
  • Pour the mixture into glass jars and allow to cool for 30 minutes.
  • Label the jars and store in a cool, dry place.

Notes

  • You can use fresh or frozen breast milk for this recipe.
  • If you're using frozen breast milk, make sure it's fully thawed before using.
  • If you don't have fresh or frozen breast milk, you can use a store-bought milk replacer.
  • If you have sensitive skin, you may want to reduce the amount of tea tree oil used or omit it altogether.
  • You can also use different essential oils in this recipe depending on your skin type and preferences.
