Equipment

  • Small saucepan
  • Measuring spoon
  • Measuring cup
  • Mixing bowl
  • Spoon or spatula
  • Lip gloss container

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon of beeswax
  • 1 tablespoon of shea butter
  • 1 tablespoon of petroleum jelly
  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • 1 drop of essential oil (optional)

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, melt the beeswax, shea butter, and petroleum jelly over low heat.
  • Stir in the honey and essential oil (if using) until well combined.
  • Pour the mixture into a mixing bowl and let it cool for about 30 minutes.
  • Once the mixture has cooled, use a spoon or spatula to transfer it into a lip gloss container.
  • Your lip gloss is now ready to use!

Notes

  • Make sure to use a low heat when melting the ingredients, as overheating can damage the nutrients in the shea butter and beeswax.
  • You can use any essential oil you like, but we recommend using a sweet-smelling oil such as vanilla or peppermint for a pleasant fragrance.
  • If you don't have petroleum jelly, you can substitute with coconut oil, but this will change the recipe from being without coconut oil.

How to Use

  1. Apply a small amount of lip gloss to your lips using your finger or a lip brush.
  2. Reapply as needed throughout the day.
