Ingredients
½
cup
fractionated coconut oil
½
cup
rosehip seed oil
1
tbsp
emulsifying wax (any pure, natural wax such as beeswax or soy wax will do)
2
tbsp
rose water (rose essential oil can be added instead)
Instructions
Pour the oils into a bowl and set aside while heating a double-boiler made from a large mouthed, heatproof glass jar over simmering water.
Add the emulsifying wax to the hot water and stir until melted.
Add the melted emulsifying wax to the oils and stir again until thoroughly combined.
Pour in the rosewater and stir once more.
As the lotion cools it will thicken slightly, but will not solidify as it would if you used beeswax.
Pour into your desired storage container and enjoy your luxurious, all-natural lotion!
Notes
If you use it on your face, be sure to always wear sunscreen afterward.
